Food Service Cook/Baker

32 hours per week,position available (eligible for all benefits), require flexible shifts between 5:00 am and 7:30 pm and weekend/holiday rotation. Responsibilities include: Working under the supervision of the Food Service Chef - prepares, seasons, and cooks food for hospital patients, staff and visitors; Determines types and quantities of meats, vegetables and soups to be prepared by reviewing planned menus; Ensures meals are ready at specified times; Mixes, measures and cooks ingredients according to approved standardized recipes using mixers, slicers, combination oven, stove, grill and steam table; Have the ability to calculate measurements in recipes to increase or decrease servings according to diet order; Reports to the Food and Nutrition Director.

Requirements: Must be 18 years of age, lift 40 pounds safely, and have a high school diploma or equivalent; Current IDPH Food Service Sanitation Certificate; Previous experience in hospital food preparation preferred; and Computer experience preferred.
