Kirby Hospital in Monticello, Illinois has an opportunity for a Family Physician to join the growing team of physicians and nurse practitioners of Kirby Medical Group. Our small, well-established community is only 20 minutes from Champaign/Urbana, and offers a large call group (1:6), no OB, and the same state of the art equipment and staff you will find in larger metro area hospitals.
The county will likely meet the needs of most rural health scholars and student loan programs. We offer a competitive base salary as well as an attractive benefits package that includes reimbursement for malpractice, health insurance, relocation assistance, CME and more.
Kirby Hospital is a 16-bed Critical Access Hospital (CAH), which provides better reimbursement for Medicare patients, thus assuring greater financial stability. The Emergency Department and Convenient Care Center is staffed 24 hours with Physician Assistants and has received the prestigious Summit Award for the third consecutive year, with an average of 10,000 visits annually.
Kirby has an exceptional and growing in and outpatient surgery program, including general, podiatric, cataract and gynecology procedures. Our hospital is fully equipped with state of the art diagnostic services including MRI, a NEW 16 slice CT, Pet/CT, EKG, stress testing, X-Ray, sleep studies, mammograms, ultrasounds, respiratory and pulmonary function testing; physical, speech, and occupational therapies; cardiology testing, telemedicine, oncology specialty clinic, and many community support services.
