Kirby Hospital offers an Oncology Specialty Clinic once a week. Dr. Maria T. Grosse Perdekamp, Board Certified and specializing in Medical Oncology and Hematology, sees patients on Tuesday Mornings at Kirby Hospital. This unique service allows patients local and convenient access to state-of-the-art care and National Cancer Institute-sponsored research programs. Services provided include initial and ongoing medical evaluations, performance of diagnostic lab and x-ray exams, discussion of treatment goals and options, and administration of various treatment therapies. If chemotherapy is recommended, it is given in the clinic by a registered nurse who is specially trained in chemotherapy administration.
