Kirby Medical Center Foundation

Through generous charitable gifts, The Kirby Foundation supports many important healthcare initiatives of Kirby Medical Center that benefit all members of our community.

Kirby Medical Center was inspired by a history of philanthropy. The budget for building our community a new healthcare facility was over $30 million. The key to Kirby’s success is ensuring that the cost today will translate into an investment in the future.

For the third time in Kirby’s history, we were blessed to have leaders in our community commit to providing the financial support necessary to set the Kirby Medical Center project in motion. We were also fortunate to secure favorable interest rate terms on our bonds that are insured through the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). These factors, along with a dedicated construction team, allowed us to complete ahead of schedule and on budget. While the results of these early partners are visible now that Kirby Medical Center is built and operational, our work is far from complete.

At this historic milestone, we invite you to join those who encouraged and supported a new vision for a modern and truly healing healthcare facility throughout the planning and construction phases. The Kirby Medical Center capital campaign will continue through 2012. The opportunities to be involved are many and varied. Please consider how you can become a part of this important community-inspired healthcare initiative.

Campaign gifts over $7,500 are considered Leadership Gifts and are recognized on the beautifully engraved display found immediately inside the main entrance of Kirby Medical Center, or you may also choose to establish your family legacy through a commemorative naming opportunity with your gift recognized on plaque at the location where your gift is intended.

Gifts can take many forms, including cash, appreciated securities or real estate. Your financial advisor can help structure your charitable intent in a way that may offer significant tax advantages. If you would like to learn more about the many ways to contribute to the Kirby Medical Center Capital Campaign, please contact Carol Stoddard, Director of Development for the Kirby Foundation, at (217) 762-1509 or any one of our Foundation Board Members.
