Make A Gift
John and Mary Kirby understood that it would take so much more to help ensure quality and affordable healthcare in their community. Their generous gift continues to inspire many in Piatt County and its surrounding areas to continue a tradition of caring through charitable giving. Today and everyday you have the opportunity to make a difference in someone’s life, maybe even someone you know and love. There are many ways you can help support Kirby Medical Center and its future projects that will help to improve and preserve healthcare for the community. Your tax-deductible gift will have a direct impact on the lives of so many – every day.
A gift of long-term appreciated securities (stock, bonds, mutual funds or other assets) can generate some of the most favorable tax benefits. Gifts of appreciated securities provide a charitable deduction, and in many cases, for the full fair-market value of the property – plus avoidance of any potential capital-gain tax.
Many employers have matching-gift programs through which your generosity to Kirby Medical Center can be multiplied. We encourage you to ask your employer if such a program is offered and available to you.
Memory or Honor Gifts
Any gift can be made in memory or in honor of a special person or event close to you. When making your gift, please be sure to indicate the name of the person or event you wish to recognize. If providing a gift using a check, please indicate your wishes on the memo section. We will acknowledge your gift by sending a note to the individual or organization whose name the gift was made. The amount of your gift will not be disclosed.
Planned gift options are available to provide flexibility for income requirements, estate planning and tax planning. These gifts are often called deferred gifts because they allow the donor to defer the gift to some future date. Planned gifts to the Kirby Foundation can be made through a will or trust, or through a donation of farmland or other property.
For specific details about any of the above giving options or to discuss a gift without any obligation or commitment, please contact Carol Stoddard, Director of Development by phone at (217) 762-1509 or via email: firstname.lastname@example.org
