Getting You the Results You Need
If you are in need of lab testing, our board-certified medical technologists and technicians are dedicated to providing rapid access to precise laboratory data for evaluation, diagnosis, treatment and monitoring of our patients. Our Joint Commission accredited laboratory is open twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week and offers:
- Urine Drug Screening
For those in need of outpatient lab services, you will find us conveniently located in the promenade just inside the main entrance of Kirby Medical Center. The laboratory not only serves patients at Kirby, but also provides comprehensive services to the Kirby Medical Group providers both in Monticello and Atwood, Piatt County Nursing and Group Homes in Monticello and offers blood collection services to Kirby Medical Group Monday-Friday.
All disciplines of the laboratory display a high-level of efficiency. We use Pathology Associates of Central Illinois for pathology services, Quest Diagnostics for our reference laboratory and American Red Cross for blood service. Kirby Medical Center staff is committed to staying abreast of new and development technologies, and we actively participate in ongoing continuing education.
All lab tests done for Carle and for Kirby Medical Group physicians now flow into the physician’s electronic medical record system! Through an interface developed in conjunction with Carle, tests done at Kirby are immediately resulted to your medical record at your doctor’s office for quick and timely analysis by your practitioner.
Kirby Medical Center and the Kirby Medical Center laboratory are both accredited by The Joint Commission and we comply with all state and federal laws that regulate laboratory testing and billing.
