All disciplines of the laboratory display a high-level of efficiency. We use Pathology Associates of Central Illinois for pathology services, Quest Diagnostics for our reference laboratory and American Red Cross for blood service.

Our experienced and friendly staff consists of board-certified medical technologists, technicians and professional personnel, all of whom are highly trained and happy to be of service. Kirby Medical Center staff is committed to staying abreast of new and development technologies and we actively participate in ongoing continuing education.

All lab tests done for Carle and for Kirby Medical Group physicians now flow into the physician’s electronic medical record system! Through an interface developed in conjunction with Carle, tests done at Kirby are immediately resulted to your medical record at your doctor’s office for quick and timely analysis by your practitioner.

Kirby Medical Center and the Kirby Medical Center laboratory are both accredited by The Joint Commission and we comply with all state and federal laws that regulate laboratory testing and billing.

Mark your calendar with the dates for blood drives held at Kirby Medical Center and co-sponsored by the Kirby Auxiliary and Kirby Medical Center.

The Kirby Auxiliary has been hosting American Red Cross blood drives every eight weeks since 1981. The blood drives at KMC will be held in the classrooms, which are adjacent to the Apple a Day Café. Anyone needing directions or assistance can ask a helpful guest services member located right inside the front entrance.
