Mental Health Counseling

Mental health is defined as a person’s condition with regard to their psychological and emotional well-being. The professional staff at Kirby Medical Center works with individuals to address many facets of mental health and mental illness.

 We provide therapy or mental health counseling services for the following situations and many others.

 • Depression

• Anxiety

• Bipolar Disorder

• Post Traumatic Stress Disorder or PTSD

• Addiction and Related Issues

• Eating Disorders and Related Issues

• Self-Harm

• Grief or Loss

One of our mental health professionals will talk with you, as new patient, about available options appropriate for you as an individual. Whether you require an urgent appointment or a routine appointment, we will match you with a mental health counselor best suited to your needs.

Staci McNicholl, MSW, LCSW

Staci McNicholl, is a licensed Clinical Social Worker. Staci has been in practice for over 12 years and specializes in treatment of depression, anxiety, cutting/self-harm, substance abuse, couples/marital therapy, family therapy, behavioral disorders in adolescents, body image concerns, and eating disorders/issues. Her training and experience include Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Spiritual Recovery-faith based; eating disorder treatment which includes Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Play Therapy. Her clients range from 2-70 years old. Staci will be seeing patients on Tuesdays from 8 to 4 at the Kirby Medical Group in Monticello.

Lynn Griffith, MSW, LCSW

Lynn Griffith, is a licensed clinical social worker. Lynn specializes in treatment of women’s issues, couples and families as well as anxiety and depression. She has significant experience working with addiction related issues as well as behavioral issues in teens and young adults with a focus on reducing risk of negative consequences and self-harm reduction. Lynn will be seeing patients on Fridays from 8 to 4 at Kirby Medical Group.

Debra Cruickshank, MSW, LCSW, CSW-G

Debra Cruickshank will also be providing counseling services at Kirby Medical Group. Debra received her Masters of Social Work from the University of Illinois with a focus in Gerontology. Debra specializes in treatment of anxiety conditions, depression, geriatric depression, grief, and stress. Debra will be seeing patients on Wednesdays from 8-5 at Kirby Medical Group.

Tara Beckett, MSW, LCSW, Trained Divorce

Tara Beckett is a licensed clinical social worker with over fifteen years of experience working with children and their families.  Tara focuses her practice on families, children, adolescents and women’s issues.  Tara has experience working with depression, anxiety and PTSD related issues.  Tara is a trained divorce mediator and has extensive experience working with families on issues related to life stage transitions and communication.
