Thank you for your continued interest in the progress of the Kirby Hospital Replacement Facility – Kirby Medical Center.
Construction is nearing completion and based on the current schedule, we anticipate opening the new hospital late September 2011. There is a community open house and tour on Sunday, September 18, 2011 from 10am-5pm. Please bring the whole family to see and experience Kirby Medical Center and take the behind-the-scenes tour. We are excited to welcome you to our new, healing environment including private patient suites, women's imaging center, dining services in the Apple a Day Cafe and so much more! On September 18th, aside from parking at the new Medical Center, there will be complimentary shuttle bus services taking community members to the new facility from the parking lot at Kirby Hospital on State Street. Check out the Aerial and ground photos of our construction process when you visit http://www.kirbyhospital.org/photo-gallery and we will continue to update these photos until the doors open.
So how do you move a hospital? After the first of the year, we began working with a professional transition planning company who has been assisting us in the meticulous planning process for our move day. You can read all about it in a series of articles published in the Piatt County Journal Republican. You can also follow-us on Facebook.
To receive updates on the project via email, please send a note to pam.kommer@kirbyhospital.org and she will add you to the list.
