Project Updates

Thank you for your continued interest in the progress of the Kirby Hospital Replacement Facility – Kirby Medical Center.

Our new facility has completed the design process, we have received approval on our Certificate of Need from the State’s Health Facilities Planning Board and construction bids are in and at or under projections.  We've come a long way on the project!

We are finalizing our financing for the project and have a projected ground-breaking timeline of the end of April of 2010.  Assuming a 15 month construction period, we are planning to move into the new facility sometime during the summer/early fall of 2011.

We are also having small group meetings for those people interested in learning more about the project and getting some insight into the exciting design and layout of the new building.  If you are interested in learning more, you can contact Cindy Nelson at cindy.nelson@kirbyhospital.org and we will get you scheduled for one of our meetings.

If you would like to receive updates on the project via email, please send a note to pkommer@kirbyhospital.org and she will add you to the list.
